I have previously attended acting classes at PACE acting school in Paisley for a year, as well as participating in an Easter School at 'The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland'. For the last year, I have attended acting classes with close contact with a tutor to allow me direct feedback on my performance to allow it to improve on a consistent basis. I have also performed in two consecutive Christmas pantomimes, and am currently practicing to star as 'Yvonne' in my third school show, 'Sunshine on Leith'. Being on the stage, this offers an opportunity to perform in a different environment that for screen, allowing me to develop my skills and learn to adapt my acting to a new space. I recently completed my LAMDA Bronze award, and was awarded a Distinction at 86/100. This allowed me to perform in a examination environment and to be formally assessed.
I regard myself as being a driven and determined person. I pride myself on making things happen, and putting myself in situations where I can grow and develop my skills as well as myself as a person. When handling a task, I will put all of my efforts into creating the best outcome I possibly can achieve. I have worked in a local store on the island for over three years, where I have learned to effectively communicate and compromise not only with the public, but with co-workers, to create a successful working environment. When acting, I believe it essential to communicate both in my performance and with those I am placed alongside, something of which my work has continued to teach me. I am also outgoing and a highly sociable girl--someone who is approachable. I believe these skills will enable to to perform successfully, and adapt to new work environments to create an effective result.
