Hello, my name is Helen. I’m 16 years old, and im a high school student. I am currently in s5 going into s6 next month.
I’ve always loved sports in general and I take part in quite a lot of sports, but most of them outside of school. I used to do athletics and I ran for a club called Giffnock North AC, I'm a sprinter and a thrower like shot putt and hammer. I became my club’s champion last year for U17 women. But i had to quit because i had netball at the same time but for netball i was in club level and district level. I also play Netball, i do it in school and outside of school. I play for Sycamores SAPC outside of school and I’m also part of the Glasgow’s District Team which is called Glasgow Wildcats. I too play the trombone which I’ve been playing for 5-6 years now i form part of a band called GYBB we’ve even produced our own CD with different songs on it. I’m also part of CYPCS, and I’m a young advisor for them who battle for Children’s rights in Scotland. Last year I went to Malta and Brussels for the ENYA 23 conference along with other European youths like me to speak about children’s rights and what we can do to make them better. In the future, I aspire to study medicine to then becoming a surgeon because I just love being there for people and helping them as much as I can.
I believe myself to be a very hardworking individual, I was always put my all in everything that im doing as I always want to make sure it is fine well. My communication skills and timekeeping skills are something I’m very proud as I’ve been working hard to enhance them.
