Hi there!!
My name is Laura and I am a 19 year old student from Glasgow. I have just finished my Second Year at the University of Glasgow studying an MA in Classics.
I have always had a passion for the performing arts and have been singing, dancing, and acting my whole life! Outside of that, I play multiple sorts including hockey and boxing, and I am a member of the Glasgow University Debating society for whom I have attended competitions around the country!
I have achieved a merit in my Grade 6 vocal examination and won consecutive awards in a school context for ‘Young Musicians: Vocal Ensemble of the Year’. I have also sang in front of the Glasgow Royal Concert hall a number of times!
With regards to acting, I have been involved with the dramatic arts since I was a child, attending stagecoach, performing in school shows and later, taking Drama all the way to Advanced Higher. The practical aspect of this saw me performing both a group piece and a monologue, for which I then won my schools award for excellence in Drama.
I started dancing when I was 3 and never stopped! I have trained in styles such as jazz, ballet, street dance, acro, contemporary, lyrical and more.
The work I have done as an extra was such an enriching and fun experience and I would be so excited to do it again!!
