Biography
Morag is from the West coast of Scotland. Having lived in London for 17 years she now lives in Edinburgh. As a graduate of R.S.A.M & D. Morag still sings professionally...at present mostly film soundtracks and functions such as weddings/funerals. Scottish Opera Roles include 'Adele' in Die Fledermaus and 'Papagena' in the Magic Flute. West End appearances include Chess, Sound of Music, Camelot, Charlie Girl and concert version of On the Town. Principal boy/Robinson Crusoe and Principal Girl in Dick Whittingham at Motherwell Civic Theatre. As a regular guest singer on many radio and TV programmes they include Highway,3-2-1, Songs of Scotland,Thingummyjig, Sounds Gaelic, Se Ur Beatha, and is particularly well known for her expertise in Scottish and Gaelic song. Appeared on the hugely successful Honda advert where the chosen performers used their vocal skills to imitate varying car sounds. Toured USA and Canada performing and promoting Scotish Music and has recorded duets with Kenneth McKellar. Sang at Buckingham Palace to the Queen and Royal Family. Film Soundtracks recorded in London include: The Lion King/Evita/Romeo and Juliet/Chocolat/Moulin Rouge/Schrek/Da Vinci Code/Charlie and the Chocolate Factory/Corpse Bride/Blood Diamond/Hell Boy/Mamma Mia/Alice in Wonderland/How to Train your Dragon/Nanny McPhee/Kung Fu Panda/Frankenweenie/The Great Gatsby/Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children/Alice Through the Looking Glass.
