Born overseas and spent my childhood between boarding school in Edinburgh and various homes in Africa. Now retired after 18 years working for a trade union, and living in Aberdeen. I work part time for a not-for-profit organisation (very flexible hours!!)
I have a degree and have worked at a variety of jobs from airline cabin crew to magazine journalist, in PR, for a trade union and for the Ladies Golf Union.
Mum to two adult sons, and proud owner of a handsome cat, and granny to three babies and various dogs - and other small animals over the years including mice, hamsters, hedgehog and more (I can handle most living creatures!)
