Polina Guseva was born in Voronezh, Russia. She trained at the Voronezh Choreographic College, one of Russia’s leading ballet schools, and after graduating in 2001, was engaged as a soloist with the Rostov State Opera and Ballet Theatre, a position held until 2013.
During this period, she also graduated with a degree in Master of Teaching Classical Dance from the South Ural State Humanitarian Pedagogical University and worked as a teacher of classical ballet at the Rostov State Choreographic College.
From 2013 until the present, she has worked as principal soloist with the Astrakhan State Theatre of Opera and Ballet and also as a teacher of classical ballet at the Astrakhan College of Arts.
