I was born in the south of England, attended a convent school then went to Liverpool University to study French. Following graduation, I moved to Scotland with my husband where we lived happily for 23 years and had 2 children. Now living in Fife.

I have worked in various environments including the probation service, local government, libraries, teaching English as a foreign language and HMRC.
I volunteered as a Brownie Guide leader for 6 years and as a Adult Literacies tutor for 2 years.
I can speak French and a small amount of Italian. I enjoy cooking and like to try out new recipes regularly.
My hobbies include cycling (I am training for the London to Brighton cycle ride in September), walking by the coast and in the countryside and open water swimming.
I like driving and regularly drive 500 miles to visit my parents.
