Biography
I was brought up in Springburn with my twin sister, and younger brother.
My father was brought up in Auchinairn with his 7 brothers and eight sisters.
My mother was brought up in Green Street, just off London Road, Glasgow.
My mother had one brother who passed away many years ago from a burst ulcer.
We as a family moved to Barmulloch when I was 10 years of age, and when I was 14 years of age we moved to Condorrat in Cumbernauld.
My 86 year old mother still lives in the house we moved to from the Glasgow overspill.
My father passed away two and a half years ago.
I have 2 sons, Paul, 37, and David, 34.
I have 2 granddaughters, Robyn, 10, and Rae, 7.
Every 2 weeks I pick them up and they stay with me on Friday ans Saturday night and I take them home on the Sunday night.
I live for when I pick the up.
I have worked for North Lanarkshire Council for 30 years, first driving bin lorries, then now within the street scene department winter shrub cutting and grass cutting in the summer.
I have been with my partner, Geraldine for 14 years now, Geraldine retired from nursing a couple of years ago.
I separated from my first wife, 18 years ago.
I have been living in Wishaw for 6 years now.
Skills
In my younger days I practised Tae Kwon Do to Black belt level.
I like going to the gym to keep in reasonable shape, as I am not getting any younger.😁
My guilty pleasure is singing karaoke.🎤
