Cody and Beau: A Wild West Story
A show I recently wrote, directed and performed in with my friend for the Edinburgh Fringe. It went for a 2 week run, in which we won an International Cultural Award and received several 5/4 star reviews. You can access the show synopsis, photos and reviews via dylanandwilltheatre.com.
MAYA, Daisy Haggard
Worked as an extra on this project, yet to be released.
NOTE - I have worked with Entertainment Partners for a year, and have participated in other projects under an NDA.
How To Pull A Trigger
A student film. Available via https://media.ed.ac.uk/media/t/1_60vcwv2n
Angels in America, Tony Kushner
A student production with Bedlam Theatre, Edinburgh, in which I played Joe Pitt. This proved far and large my toughest but most rewarding role, as Joe is someone torn between conservative beliefs, religious values and queer identity. I find myself particularly energised by characters whose selves are divided by conflicting desires and demands. Reviews of the show and my performance are accessible via bedlamtheatre.com.
ROAD, Jim Cartwright
A student production with Bedlam Theatre, Edinburgh, in which I played Brink. Through this I perfected my Northern accent, with the play set in Lancashire. Reviews of the show and my performance are accessible via bedlamtheatre.com.
Lazarus
A student written production with Bedlam Theatre, Edinburgh, in which I played a character named Axel. It was a comic, almost sitcom type play, which really allowed me to work on and learn about comedic performance. Accessible via bedlamtheatre.com.
1984
A student production with Bedlam Theatre, Edinburgh, in which I played Parsons. A tough physical role, as I was playing a far older, bumbling character. Accessible via bedlamtheatre.com.
ART, Yasmina Reza
A play directed and performed by me and two friends in our final year of high school. Playing Serge crystallised my desire to pursue a career in acting. Reza's script is deliberately open, offering little in the way of stage directions or characterisation, providing huge scope for interpretation. It was through this process of transforming the text to stage that vividly illuminated to me the power of performance to represent abstract ideas in concrete form.
I am a dynamic and versatile performer with a strong athletic foundation and a wide-ranging skill set across sport, music, and performance. I am passionate about fitness, having completed two half-marathons in the past year and maintaining regular weight training. My sporting background is extensive, having played tennis, football, and golf at an advanced level, and previously competing in rugby for a top-level team. In addition to these, I am also highly proficient in cricket, swimming, pool, darts, and cycling. I feel particularly confident in high-intensity and hand-eye coordination sports, and thriving in team-based environments.
I have background in musical theatre and formal singing training. I have experience singing in stage productions and have taken regular singing lessons, supported by a strong sense of rhythm and movement through dance. I am also a competent guitarist, and can pick up musical material quickly and am confident both in ensemble and solo performance work.
I consider myself to have strong vocal versatility, with a natural ear for accents. I have a wide repertoire including General American, Southern American Drawl, New York, Heightened RP, Irish, Scottish, Cockney, and Northern English.
